#tdpgirltalk with Madelyn Carafa from The Healthy Hustlers

Madelyn Carafa from The Healthy Hustlers knows ALL about hustle and making the move to working for yourself full time. I spoke with Madelyn about her professional background, favourite way to de-stress and her number 1 tip for all of our hustlers! Welcome to #tdpgirltalk where I ask the questions you would want to know about over a coffee or a cheeky cocktail with some of our favourite boss ladies!

Hi Madelyn, thank you so much for joining me for TDP's #girltalk segment! Here are our top GT questions coming at you....

Apart from The Healthy Hustlers, what is your professional background?
I studied a Bachelor of Business majoring in Marketing and Event Management. After I completed my degree I started my working career at The Cotton On Group where I spent four years working in Events and Marketing. The first two years I was with their charity arm, The Cotton On Foundation looking after marketing for their charity fun runs across Australia. This was two of the best years, I learnt so much on the job and was given so much responsibility. Two years in I moved to Cotton On Body where I managed their events team globally. Working in a global business for one of the biggest fashion retailers in the world was an incredible starting point to my career and something I'll be forever grateful for.

What came next?
After four years I decided I wanted to move to a smaller business and also explore my passion and love for health and wellbeing a little more so I took on a role as Marketing Manager for a health food brand. Although I only ended up working there for 6 months before I launched THH it was such a great insight into the hustle culture of a startup, I was able to see first-hand the time, energy, creativity and passion that went into owning your own business. From there I started a Talent Management business the same time I started THH, as you do haha! And here I am, working full time for myself and appreciating every single moment.

Favourite way to de-stress, stay grounded and balanced?
Going to the beach. I love walking along the sand in bare feet and jump into the ocean, the beach is my number one happy place and instantly de-stresses me.

Run, gym or pilates?
Pilates all the way.

Your number one tip for all of our hustlers?
Just start. Run in the deep end and swim!

Something people don't know about you/hidden skill?
I'm a really good cook if I say so myself haha :)

Red, white or sparkling wine? (or a cheeky cocktail?)
Cheeky cocktail for sure!

Thank you so much for sharing some girl talk with us Madelyn! Head on over to THH Instagram for all the latest updates and when new epsiodes drop!

H x
